The prices are okay and the location is great, but I can’t really recommend it. The guy at the entrance spent most of the time staring at the TV like a zombie. He didn’t even look up or say hello when guests came in or left. Seems like a great way to keep unwanted guests out, too. The room they used for most of the photos on their website and booking sites couldn’t be rented. When I asked how to book it, they said it was only for “merchandise purposes.” On the top floor, the doors have huge gaps underneath and the walls are thin. We could hear what our neighbor and his two female visitors were doing during the night, which made sleeping difficult, though it was entertaining.

It might suit someone traveling alone with no heavy luggage, but I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise. Taksim Square is usually locked, so you have to walk with your bags. This is a shared apartment, with a separate door for each room.

Our room service was great: they kept the room clean and brought us everything we needed. Miss Hatice from housekeeping is especially lovely, and the hotel staff were polite and helpful. The location at Ragip Pasha is outstanding, within walking distance of tourist spots like Aya Sofia, Fatih, Besiktas, and the Bazaar. We got our money’s worth, 100%. We had the best stay in Istanbul, and Insallah yeniden kalmak nasip olur :)!

We felt completely at ease with the pleasant host, who may have been the owner. The room was on the small side, but it suited us for one night. It’s right in the heart of Istiklal Road, with plenty of shops and places to eat within easy walking distance.
