Dorman Suites Hotel

We had a lovely five days at DORMAN SUITS HOTEL with our family. Everyone on staff was kind, attentive, and greeted us with a warm smile. The suite was amazing, a full apartment all to ourselves, and very clean. It came with a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, kettle, fresh towels, and soaps. The view was fantastic too. The pool’s closed in winter, but we’ll definitely come back in summer. The cats made the stay even nicer, especially the beautiful orange one we called Garfield. We let them come inside, and they were very friendly. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was tasty and good quality, served calmly on a nice terrace by the pool, with enough staff around. Watermelon was the only fruit each morning, though, and more variety and better bread would have been nice. The suites have lovely kitchens, but barely any equipment at first. They brought us more when we asked. We had a wonderful family stay at Dorman. The place feels like a peaceful oasis, with thoughtful design, a lovely garden, a good pool, comfortable loungers, a shower beside the pool, a small outdoor gym, and fresh towels available at reception. Everything felt high quality. The staff were warm and attentive, helping with taxis, exchanging money, and recommendations. A young English-speaking woman at breakfast was especially welcoming, professional, and helpful. Our main reason for taking off a star was that there are some straightforward things to improve. Rooms should be cleaned more often than every three days, ideally every other day. They did check in to top up toilet paper and take out rubbish. Still, I got a real sense that the people there care, so I expect these small improvements could happen. I’d definitely recommend Dorman Suits and hope to return. It was a great choice, thank you for a lovely stay.

The apartment was roomy, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room and kitchen, and the pool looked good, though I can't say whether it was clean. The staff were generally nice, but one man at reception was very rude. I asked where our bags would go after checkout and how they'd tell ours apart from the other 20 bags there, since there were no tags. He called me thick-headed in Turkish, apparently assuming I couldn't understand. A colleague moved our bags aside and reassured me they'd stay there. Cleanliness and maintenance were a serious problem. On the first day, my sister's shower flooded the bathroom because the drain was clogged. When a staff member checked it, he pulled out a lot of hair, enough to make it seem like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. It was disgusting. The bedding had stains and hair on it, and the next morning I found hair coming out of the drain in the second bathroom too, though it wasn't blocked. There were dead insects on the floor, which made it look as if it hadn't been mopped for several days. After all of this, I would never return.
