Manuela Hotel

The breakfast spot right on the beach was a highlight, with lots of choices and an omelet station where you could pick what you wanted. Our room was cleaned daily and spotless, with a comfortable bed, balcony, coffee facilities, and, most importantly, great air conditioning. The hotel has convenient car parking and direct access to its private beach, with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas. Good value for money. My sincere thanks to the whole hotel team for the service.

Manuela Hotel has a distinctive atmosphere and food that stand out along the coastal promenade. Its owner chose the Caribbean name after becoming captivated by Cuban culture at an important time in his life, and wanted to bring a piece of that beloved place to Bodrum. The hotel puts on a night show every day, rotating dance, music, and karaoke groups, and guests get involved too. The Cuban band performs twice a week, turning the evening into a Caribbean cultural experience, with the waves crashing nearby as the night gives way to dawn. Service is extremely good. Restaurant and bar staff pay attention to even small needs, and there’s a serious, respectful feel throughout the hotel. The owner is always smiling as he walks around the hotel and restaurants, welcoming guests into the “Manuela” family and showing how much pride and love he has for the place and its service. Along the beach there are other hotels and restaurants serving Turkish, Italian, and other cuisines, with the Aegean and the glowing promenade all around.

The staff made our holiday. We’ve been to Turkey many times and have always found people welcoming, but the team at the Manuela went out of their way to make us feel at home and knew how to make the trip enjoyable. We spent 10 nights with everything catered for, lots of laughs, and fun evenings in the bar. For our anniversary dinner, they decorated the table and brought out a lovely cake with a huge firework on it. Argie and his son Enes gave us a gift too. We’re sad we couldn’t say goodbye in person to some of the staff, who were recovering from a tragic event that day. Sending them all our love and best wishes, and we hope to see them next year. The hotel’s setting is stunning, with beautiful views every day, safe water to swim in, and great food. What more could you want? Well done to everyone at the Manuela / Temple bar.

The staff deserve a big thank you, especially Mehmet and Semet, the hardest working waiters in Turkey, who even gave us Turkish lessons. The young man at the egg station made delicious fried eggs, and the woman serving hot food at dinner was so friendly. Food was tasty and adequate, though fruit was lacking at breakfast, so we bought our own. The hotel’s beachside spot and private beach are fabulous, with plenty of comfortable loungers, parasols, and shaded seating. Our room was smaller than we’d hoped but had good storage and a very comfy bed. There were big mirrors, a decent shower room, and a very small balcony, plus a washing line and pegs. We had some water pressure trouble in the shower and a dodgy wardrobe door, but neither spoiled our week.
