Okaliptus Hotel

It’s a lovely, atmospheric place, quiet and close to the beach, and I enjoyed being there. Hotel guests get free sunbeds, and the food was delicious. Prices in town are very high, though. Staff don’t know much English, we waited nearly half an hour at reception for the room key, and there were no labels saying what the dishes were. I also had to ask for shower towels, since there weren’t any in the room.

I was only there a short time, but had an incredible stay. The hotel’s a lovely place to unwind away from the busy center, especially if you’re there for the sea. The water was still great in mid-October, and there are activities like boat trips, ringo, jet skiing and parasailing. The view is incredible, and the outside is charming and tastefully decorated. There’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms, which I actually liked because it nudged us out to the shared spaces and helped us meet people. Free Wi-Fi is available at the restaurant, bar and beach. The food was quite nice, with plenty of vegetables, yogurt and fruit and a decent range of options. Staff were attentive, helpful and always smiling, and their good mood rubbed off on us. I’d highly recommend it.

That cushioned lounge spot by the beach, under the palm trees, was a dream. The hotel’s in a lovely area if you want somewhere more laid-back than the big city, and I had a wonderful week there. The food was delicious, and I ate there nearly every night without having the same thing twice. The staff were the hotel’s best feature. From the bar and restaurant staff to the chef, reception team and cleaners, everyone was friendly and helpful, even with the occasional language barrier. They made my first visit to Turkey a great one, and I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We’d definitely come back. The location is fantastic, right by the beach, with a lovely pool among the trees and greenery. There’s also a peaceful hammock spot and a cushioned area by the shore. Our room was spacious, the balcony was large, and the beds were comfortable. The buffet was fabulous. The head waiter was especially friendly and helpful, and arranged a special meal for our son’s birthday. The one downside was the lack of Wi-Fi in the room, though it is available in the main areas.
