Bodrum Marma Otel

Things have changed a lot since the years we stayed here while Bodrum American Hospital was being built. Back then, a kind woman took care of the place, and it was clean and attentive, with breakfast included. This year I stayed twice, and both times the rooms and toilets were dirty, with hair on the pillows. The reception staff seemed uninterested, and breakfast wasn't even offered. I've been calling and writing for two days to get my invoice. My name is Sadık Duran.

When I stayed six years ago, I was happy with Marma Hotel, but on 04.05.2025 it was in very poor shape. The pool was full of algae, the hotel wasn't clean, and there was no paint or whitewash. Breakfast wasn't available, and when I asked for the rubbish to be taken out, they told me to take it outside myself. At checkout, reception couldn't call a taxi because they said they had no taxi number. They did change the bedspread when I asked and brought me a duvet when I was cold, though I had to carry it to my room. My friend and I had booked a double room with separate beds, but its toilet was broken, so they moved us into two separate rooms. I also asked for an iron and they didn't have one. Apart from those few things they helped with, there's nothing positive to say. I hope people read this before going and don't waste their money.

The building, location and staff are nice, but closing the pool at 8 pm makes no sense. We got to Bodrum by bus at 5 pm, and sorting out the car meant it was already after 8, so we missed out on using the pool. And about the comment that bus drivers come by, aren't they people too? Their work deserves respect.

Everything about the rooms was awful. Honestly, sleeping in your car would be better. Nothing gets a pass.
