The service was probably the worst we've ever had, which is why this gets such a poor rating. We booked a standard room, but it was tiny, with a very small window, and nothing like the photo on booking. There was no way we could spend a week in it, so we paid to upgrade. The larger room was clean, had a balcony and a nice view of the Harbor, and looked like the pictures. The location is very central too. But the staff spent their time smoking in the “lobby,” and our room was never cleaned during the whole week. The terrace was closed, so breakfast was in an ugly area in front of the desk. Turkish breakfast may be the best around, but not here: we got some bread and butter, and that was all. We'd booked after reading reviews praising breakfast, so this was a total waste of money. We hated it.

I found this place by chance while traveling solo, right in front of Bodrum harbour. The room was spacious, and the rooftop has a beautiful view over the harbour. Breakfast there was delicious, too. The staff were lovely.

The rooms felt smaller than advertised, and we struggled to fit one suitcase and two carry-ons. They were clean, though, as were the beds and bathrooms. We could also hear people murmuring in the next rooms through the thin walls. Breakfast is a simple seated meal with eggs, cheese, Turkish sausages, honey, butter, vegetables and bread. The hotel is nicely designed and very central, close to the castle and the walking streets behind it, as well as the marina's shops, cafes and restaurants.

The owner was such a polite, helpful and respectful person, and one of the best I've met in a long time. We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, right between the marina, castle and shops.

We arrived around midnight, and with only one room available, the staff were still friendly and helpful. The room was clean, peaceful and welcoming, and the staff were kind. By Muhtar is right in the city center near the nighttime activity, but slightly tucked away, so it was still a good spot for a restful night's sleep. Highly recommend!
