The staff are really nice and polite, and the view from the apartment balcony is lovely, with Gumbet and the sea in sight. The location is handy too: 10 minutes on foot to the sea, five to Gumbet centre, and 10 to the barstreet. Bodrum is about a 30-minute walk if you enjoy walking. The apartment itself was a letdown. It clearly needs maintenance, the furniture is old and the kitchen cutlery should be replaced. There was a rat, or something like one, on the bathroom ceiling. Maybe we were unlucky with our apartment, but it was also so noisy we could hear everything from the neighbours. Cleaning wasn't great either: the towels weren't replaced, and it didn't feel like the apartment had really been cleaned. I'd come here just to sleep, sit on the balcony for the view, and maybe have a swim in the pool.

These are budget apartments and adequate for self-catering. The cleaners do a good job, though ants are quick to show up if you leave crumbs in the kitchen. The pool is large, but there's slime around its edge. The location is great: a five-minute walk to Gumbet and 30 minutes to Bodrum harbour.

The location is convenient, five minutes on foot from the beach and close to Gumbet centre, with its bars and markets. Bodrum centre is over the hill, so a taxi is better. The apartment had old beds and noisy rooms, wasn't cleaned well, and water dripped from the bathroom ceiling. The pool needs proper maintenance too: it was dirty, with missing tiles, broken parasols and sharp edges. At first the water was cloudy; after they added cans of chemicals for several days, it suddenly became clear. Overall, the place could be much better with proper upkeep.

You get what you pay for. The location is 10/10, facilities 6/10, beds 4/10, staff 9/10 and pool 8/10. The Wi-Fi only works at reception and the bar, so it's unavailable in apartments far from those areas. There's air conditioning only in the bedroom, leaving whoever sleeps in the living room suffering in the heat, with sleep impossible. The TVs are old and have no HDMI or other connection points. Some refurbishment indoors would help too. Everything in the apartments looks old and out of 2019, especially the living-room beds. They're okay for kids, but an adult won't sleep comfortably. As for the ants, don't believe everything you read. If you clean up, you won't get them, just like anywhere else in the world.
