Hotel İstanköy

The location is handy, close to the marina and just a short walk from shops, bars and restaurants. We didn't eat there, so I can't comment on the food. The staff were also ignorant, never smiling or saying anything. At first the rooms seem lovely and clean, but the dirt shows when you look more closely. My husband's feet were black after walking around for a few hours. After we'd been there four days, I left a note asking them to clean the room. When we got back, they'd only emptied two bins. The street was cleaner than our floor, and I wasn't the only one who noticed.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and Hassan made bingo at the bar a lot of fun. There were always sunbeds free by the pool, and the hotel has security on site around the clock. We also liked the food, the fairly priced drinks and the great atmosphere at the bar in the evenings. It's only a five-minute walk from the amenities, and the hotel was very clean and fantastic value for money. We loved our stay in Bodrum and will definitely come back.

Great location, about two minutes from the beach, marina and shops. The sun terrace was lovely for sunbathing, and the pool was never busy. The staff were brilliant, the cleaners were great, and free pool towels and Wi-Fi were included. You have to pay for air conditioning, but I'd recommend doing that. For trips farther out, some bus rides are only £1.20 one way. Our first night was noisy. There was break dancing, people slamming doors and talking outside our room instead of in their own. It felt like being in Ibiza.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and they sorted out a few issues quickly during our 10-night stay. Erhan deserves a special thanks for taking such good care of me and my family, including the freebies and tips. Thanks to the whole team for making our holiday such a good one. I hope to come back soon. Our room was large and quiet, with fresh towels every day, and both breakfast and dinner were top-notch.
