Hyde Bodrum

The French restaurant and its amazing chefs were the highlight for us. The food and desserts were delicious, and the hotel was a great place to enjoy both fun and some peace. Rooms were luxurious, comfortable and beautifully designed, and everyone we met was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Everything went perfectly from check-in through check-out. We chose Hyde Bodrum for our honeymoon and couldn’t be happier with it. The thoughtful touches for honeymooners made the stay unforgettable. Staff were attentive, our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and amenities, and everything felt flawless. The food was amazing, from the generous buffet to the late-night restaurant, there was always plenty to eat. We’ll definitely come back!

There was plenty included in the price, so we didn’t need to pay extra for what we wanted. A few things at the beach club lunch and some special drinks did cost extra, but the included cocktails, Turkish beer, house wine and decent spirits were great. The pool and beach are lovely, though one side of the pool stays shaded and that leaves fewer sunbeds in the sun. The place was quite lively, so keep that in mind. Our room faced the beach and we could hear the music, though it stopped by midnight. We were unlucky with the air con, which was broken and took a few days to fix. The gym was very good and there were lots of classes each day. Staff could have been friendlier and more efficient, especially at the buffet, though that was a small niggle. Service by the beach could be very slow.

The hotel feels soulless to me, like other places owned by big companies. Staff such as waiters, trainers and spa workers don’t wear anything distinctive, so it’s hard to tell who’s a guest and who works there. My room overlooked the pool and was above the gym. The rooms, dinner buffet, spa and gym were the best parts for me. The pizza quattro formaggi at the restaurant beside the buffet was very tasty. I found the à la carte restaurant’s food quite weak and simple, and preferred the dinner buffet.
