Siesta Beach & Apart Hotel

It was May, just as the season was starting, so it was pretty quiet, which suited me and my sister. The beach is across the road, and buses stop outside if you want to go into town for 50 lira. The staff were friendly, and the cleaners did a fab job. I had to ask for an extra top sheet for the night, but apart from that, it was a great holiday. I’ll definitely go back.

We went two days without electricity or water, and the owner didn’t even acknowledge the guests. The rooms are dated, though some staff are friendly. One staff member added my wife on Facebook, then after we got home sent her messages with false food orders for things we hadn’t ordered. It seemed like he was trying to scam us. Don’t bother with this hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else. I wouldn’t put even a homeless person here.

The staff go out of their way to help, and the food is lovely. The pool area is kept clean, and our room had fresh sheets and towels every day. The team made everything lovely for us day after day. I recommend this hotel for comfort, helpfulness, entertainment, and food. Give it a go and you’ll have plenty of laughs and good fun on your holiday.

The location is really handy, within walking distance of bars, restaurants, shops, and everything else. Reception staff were polite and helpful, and the cleaners came regularly. We were at the far end of the complex, which suited us. The pool up there was much quieter and more relaxed than the busy one by reception, which we didn’t use. There are hotel sunbeds across the road on the beach, though I found that end quite dirty compared with the end we stayed at two years ago. The apartment was spacious, with a separate kitchen and table, a good-sized living area, and very comfy sofas. There was no toaster, but I knew that and brought my own. We had a few issues: ants in the kitchen and bathroom, but we learned to keep food tied up and put away, and reception gave us spray. There were three of us, but air con was only in the bedroom. Sleeping in the living room in August without it wasn’t an option, so I put the sofa cushions between the beds to make a comfy bed, though not everyone would want to do that. I think the listing does say air con is only in the bedroom. Since we were on the ground floor with lots of cats and kittens around, we couldn’t leave the patio door open. There’s a tortoise on the grounds too. I would return.
