The Elysium Miramar Bodrum Villa

We booked four nights for four girls and paid for a sea view, but our first villa faced the city. The electricity kept cutting out, there was no Wi-Fi, and we couldn’t call reception. On the second day they moved us to another villa with a sea view. After that, the IT person and other staff kept coming into our villa without asking. On our last day, we went out and came back to find the door unlocked. My friend’s bag was missing $800 from her room. Reception said no one had gone in, and told us staff had said the same. We called the police. Then one staff member admitted he’d entered because he saw the balcony door open and went up to close it. Nobody from the hotel came to apologize or even showed up. It was a terrible stay. Don’t book here if you want to enjoy your holiday.

The terrace pool has an amazing view, and the villas have lots of space inside. The interiors are modern with new furniture, and the staff are very friendly and ready to help with whatever you need.

We had an easy time getting to Bodrum center and around the peninsula from this very central spot. The community faces south, so it stays sunny and warm throughout the winter day. The views take in Bodrum, the castle, the black island and Kos. The modern architecture is high quality, and the infrastructure is too, with things like central heating and good water pressure. Staff were polite and professional. There’s also a small gym that’s useful to have.

The view from the villas is beautiful, and they’re comfortable and convenient. The one letdown was getting our bags upstairs, the staff weren’t helpful with that.
