Buena Vista Apartments

I visited this restaurant a few times while spending a week in Bozborun, with friends. We really enjoyed the service and several dishes, especially the octopus, shrimp, and lamb. The pasta was the only thing we found ordinary. It’s a great place, and I’ll miss the food.

A small place right by the water, with such a cosy, family feel. We had a perfect dinner. The owner was lovely and recommended the starters and fish. Everything was delicious, from the zucchini cheese balls to the grilled sea bass, and the wine was great too. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much. The prices were reasonable, and the bill was actually cheaper than we expected. Highly recommend, a must visit :)

The seafood pasta was really nice and had plenty of seafood in it. The menu is small, which is a good thing, and has some unusual options that made me want to try the place, especially the prawn balls. The taste of the starters was good, but the portions were tiny for the price: just 3 çiçek dolma for 20 lira and 2 prawn balls for 37 lira. I’d expect at least four of each to share. It felt a bit sad to get so little, and the price balance seemed off. The wine list could improve too. It doesn’t need to be extensive, just offer a better wine. I’d still recommend the place overall.

The extra charges deserve one star. We stopped for a quick glass with our food and were there about 30 minutes. The bill included a 10% service charge. What service? Most places give you bread, olive oil, and sometimes water without charging extra. Here, a guy took our order and brought the food, then charged another 50 lira for that. He was rude as well. I usually tip when I like somewhere, but adding it automatically at the end like this is shameful.
