Akar Konukevi

We return to Akar Guesthouse whenever we're on the island, and this time was no different. Mr. Turay and his wife welcomed us warmly and were as attentive as ever. We travel as a family, and the place has plenty of rooms, making it suitable for larger groups too. It's clean and well located, so I'd say go without hesitation.

The location made our five nights in early August 2025 easy: we could walk everywhere in the evenings and leave the car parked. We came as a family with two children and felt completely at ease. The place was spotless, the kitchen had what we needed, and the new air conditioner ran quietly. Mr. Turay and his wife were helpful with every question and request. If it's your first visit to Bozcaada, one tip is to call Mr. Turay before you arrive and ask for help getting there by car.

We especially liked the little garden outside our room, and the central location was a big plus. The place is a quiet, peaceful family business that feels like home, with five-star cleanliness. Mr. Turay and his wife were very caring and attentive. Breakfast is served at a nearby place they work with, and we found it filling and tasty. I'd feel comfortable staying here on a visit to Bozcaada.

The spotless rooms, bathrooms, and gardens were what won me over. The guesthouse is only a three-minute walk from the ferry, and Turay Bey and his wife greeted us warmly and helped with everything we needed. I've rarely had such a good stay. We had a perfect holiday, and when I return to the island, I won't look for another place. Thanks to Turay Bey.
