The garden was wonderful, breakfast was amazing, and the rooms were very clean. The owners were so attentive and friendly that I’d definitely recommend this place for a peaceful, enjoyable holiday. I booked Bozcaada Le Mansion Hotel for Monday, September 11, 2025, and paid through Hotels.com. Forest fires led the police to close the roads from Çanakkale to Bozcaada, so we couldn't reach the ferry. The only open route was through Çan, and we couldn't get to the ferry that way either. Our ferry was due to leave at 7:00 PM. I tried contacting the hotel online and through hotels.com but couldn't get through on their number. I eventually found a number on social media, called, explained what had happened, and asked for my payment back. They said the payment would reach their account within a month and that Hotels.com was responsible for it. I emailed Hotels.com and also messaged the hotel on social media to explain that we couldn't come because of circumstances beyond our control. At first, the hotel said the money would be credited to them and then returned, but later they said I wasn't entitled to a refund and that getting there was my responsibility. They said other guests had arrived on the 11:00 ferry. I told them there were no seats left on that ferry. We didn't just decide not to go. The police had closed the road because of the fire. Others in our group had booked a room at La Kalinda, and after explaining the situation, they got their money back. Gestaş also refunded our ferry fares in full because of the fire. I contacted the hotel on social media to seek redress, but they denied any contact and blocked me.

We had a lovely three days at Mr. Dimitri’s hotel. He hosted us so well, and his recommendations made it easy for us to explore more of the island. Thank you! :))
