Saklı Konak Bozcaada

Nesli was a real bright spot. She was always around and happy to answer our questions. Thanks, Nesli. As for the stay, the €100 room was the most expensive place we stayed during our four-week trip, yet also the most basic. Everything costs much more on the island than on the mainland. There was no air conditioning, reception, room service, or in-room fridge, though guests could use a shared one. The small shower wasn't well maintained, and with the window open at night, we heard tractors, mopeds, and people shouting outside. I'd suggest others come for a day trip; that felt like enough.

Breakfast with a sea view was a lovely part of the stay. The staff were attentive and made us feel at home, and the historic mansion has been renovated beautifully. It was also very clean and well cared for. Thanks to the whole team.

We were really happy with our stay. The room was clean, airy, and had plenty of space. Saklı Konak is centrally located, and it's become our regular place to stay in Bozcaada.

I'm sharing my wife's experience from her stay. Breakfast was served at a restaurant the hotel worked with, but it wasn't very clean: the cups and thermoses were dirty, and the tables were dusty. With no regular receptionist at the hotel, it was also hard to get in touch with someone. In the room, the shower enclosure was incomplete, leaving a gap of at least 10 cm, so water spread across the bathroom floor. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up unless I held it by hand. The air conditioner was dusty and moldy, and smelled bad when switched on. The lighting was poor, and the room lamp was broken.
