The farm is a nice part of the stay, with goats, dogs, and deer. The deer are especially sweet, and one day someone let us feed them. The hotel is up on a hill, with a large parking area and a restaurant, and it’s close to Milyos Ancient Greek and Roman city, which is very much worth visiting. I stayed for two nights in September. The rooms were clean and adequate, though we got only three small bottles of soap and shower gel and needed more. The meals really need work. Breakfast was very basic, with little packets of butter and honey, olives, an omelet, and tea. For a place with such a distinctive setting, I expected a proper village breakfast with farm products, not cheap packaged supermarket food. We tried dinner twice. Soup and green beans one night were okay, but the chicken liver another night wasn’t very good. On Saturday we asked about soup and were told they could make some, but we didn’t want ready-made soup. The mezes we ordered were canned and very bad. Food quality and service need to improve. The music was bad too, and loud from early in the morning through dinner. It felt like they were running a club. Some music that suits the natural setting would be much nicer. Please skip the radio with all its commercials and play a CD or something without ads.

Getting there is the big drawback. It’s up in the mountains, so without a car, forget it. Once you arrive, though, it feels like a little escape from the outside world. I loved the quiet and the beautiful scenery. My room was spotless and cozy. Mr. Özgür at reception was unbelievably helpful and friendly, and Cemile, I believe, who works in the restaurant, was so warm and upbeat. She even remembers how you like your food served. The chef also came by to ask guests personally if everything was okay, which made me feel welcome. The food was ordinary, but better than I expected from a small place. They put everything on your room tab until checkout, so keep an eye on what you order. I was a bit surprised by the amount I had to pay when I checked out.

The drive in is bumpy and narrow for about 3-4 km, but once you arrive, it feels worth the effort. It’s a great spot for adventurous young couples and for anyone looking to have a big pool party.

I came here to get away from crowded beaches and the usual hotels where people pile food onto their plates and keep knocking back cocktails. I also wanted to see the mountains, and Milyos is perched on a beautiful one, surrounded by nature, fresh air, and quiet. The views along the drive up are stunning. The hotel feels like a fairy tale, with little guest houses, birds and animals, and a cozy restaurant with a fireplace. You can wander around the grounds or hike to the ancient city of Milyos. The food was fantastic. I love Turkish food and especially enjoyed the Turkish breakfast plate, and the Mediterranean dishes were great too. Our room was neat and clean, and surprisingly warm even though we visited in winter. I’m definitely coming back in spring.

The road is the one real problem. It’s terrible, and the last stretch is only wide enough for one car, which was difficult for me. Even so, I hope to come back. It’s a lovely place to stay, with a big, attractive property, animals, and mountains around it. The staff were very friendly, and I enjoyed my time there.
