Tahtakale Konağı Private & Luxury

The house became our favorite part of the vacation, even though we hadn't planned to spend much time there. It was spotless when we arrived, and Umut was attentive whenever we needed anything. I've traveled a lot, but haven't had hospitality like this. It felt like a royal stay. The location made it easy to walk around and get to what we needed, and there was parking for as many cars as required. The cable car (teleferik) for Uludağ is close by. The hamam was beautiful and very clean, with hot water and great pressure in both the bath and shower. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. (:

Everything in the house was in perfect shape, and it had all the amenities we could need. Umut, the owner, was especially helpful and went out of his way to make our stay better than expected. We had a really pleasant time and would recommend it to anyone. We'll definitely return.

The floors were so dirty that our socks turned black, and the basement bedroom smelled strongly of cigarettes. We couldn't sleep well because the sound insulation was awful, we could hear people whispering outside at night. The price is way too high, so please don't repeat our mistake. There was one shower for nine people, no shampoo, and no hot water from the faucets. The hamam wasn't heated and the steam room didn't work. The restrooms had no heating, and the basement restroom stank. The place looked wealthy and fake, but the night was miserable. Even the bedside lamps in the padishah room had no bulbs.

The mansion has been restored nicely, and it was exceptionally clean. Its location is good for getting to the bazaar. Umut, the owner, was very hospitable. It’s a special way to stay in Bursa as people might have many years ago. Highly recommend it.
