Getting to the lodge means tackling a challenging road, so I’d be cautious about bringing elderly people along. Once there, though, the Rize Mountains are lush, picturesque, and almost magical, with a lovely backdrop for trekking and hiking. The clean lodge feels like a home away from home, and the fireplace gives it a warm, cozy atmosphere. Firdvs and her husband are welcoming hosts, and Firdvs especially goes out of her way to make guests feel comfortable. Her delicious home-cooked meals brought local cuisine into the experience. For a peaceful mountain retreat, it’s a gem if you don’t mind an adventurous drive.

You feel at home as soon as you arrive. The hosts are wonderful, and Firdvs auntie is an angel who really cares about her guests and makes sure you’re comfortable. Her food is the best I’ve had in Turkey. The scenery is amazing, and the place feels magical. I’ll definitely come back.

We stayed for three days and were very happy with the experience. The rooms were spotless, and the breakfast and meals were delicious and all organic. Firdevs Hanım and Ekrem Bey were so attentive that the place felt like our own home, not a hotel. If you want to relax and unwind, with peace and quiet and great service, I definitely recommend it. It gets very crowded upstairs. My husband and I would choose this place again in the coming years.
