Pokut plateau really feels like paradise on earth. At Orion Boutique Hotel, Ayşe Hanım and Zafer Bey made us feel at home. The rooms were super clean, and Ayşe Hanım prepared fresh, delicate food every day. It was a family atmosphere, with not even the smallest thing to complain about. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality. We're already looking forward to coming back.

A walk to Hazindak is a good day out, about 2 hours each way, with some challenge but nothing too strenuous. Back at the lodge, the hosts are friendly, and both breakfast and dinner are generous, delicious home cooking. The village and mountain scenery are beautiful. At night, Zafer-bey plays the tulum while Ayşe-hanım sings along.

The views and walks around this place were sensational, and the rooms felt cosy and comfortable. We were a family of 10 on a tour and stayed only one night, but the hosts were wonderful and the home cooking was great. It ended up being the highlight of our three-week trip around Turkey. Absolutely fabulous.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the setting is even more stunning than the hotel itself. There are some amazing hikes nearby, plus a cafe about a five-minute walk away where you can catch beautiful sunsets. A great place to stay for a visit to the beautiful Pokut plateau. Highly recommend it.

The drive up was rough and foggy, a bit like some of the poor roads in eastern Tibet. We're two Chinese women, and our driver, Ahmet Bey, was fantastic and got us there safely. We'd arranged the airport taxi with the owner ahead of time since we landed at Rize Artvin airport quite late. We stayed two nights, and the family-run hotel felt cosy and comfortable, like home. Ayse Hanim and Zafer Bey were so welcoming, and the food and views were fabulous. We enjoyed every bit of it.
