The breakfast terrace overlooking Firtina stream was a lovely spot, and even though we got a plated breakfast because of the pandemic instead of the generous buffet mentioned in older reviews, it was still very good. Staff at every level were warm and welcoming. When I asked for extra water and a dish, they kindly gave them to me free, though I’d expected to pay. I stayed one night with my family in two rooms. Both were clean, and the river views from the rooms we had were spectacular. The building and washrooms were clean too, and the furnishings, fittings, room standards, and daily rate made it excellent value. Its location in Rize’s Black Sea region is great. I’ve stayed at a couple of other Ogretmenevi, and this is easily the best one I’ve visited in every respect. Highly recommended.

For the price, it’s a very good stay, though it isn’t a five-star hotel. The room was clean and warm, with a view of the river. Breakfast was good, but the selection was limited.

The river is right beside the hotel, so you can hear it from your room, which was wonderful. We came with my wife and our eight-month-old daughter while travelling around the East Black Sea. The manager was very kind and upgraded our standard room to a suite because we had a baby, which was a lovely welcome from the start. It’s also well placed for reaching several destinations. I hope we can stay again once the ski facilities in Ayder area are finished.

YAMANTURK is surrounded by nature and in a great location. The staff were friendly, service was efficient, and it really felt like being at home.

The price felt crazy, especially since there wasn’t a balcony to look out at the river. Breakfast was the one thing I didn’t like. They said it was because of the pandémie, but after four months at other hotels in Turkey, I’d never seen that.
