Marvida Hotel Akman Park

The beach and bus stop are both close by, which made the location just right for me. The rooms, beach, and service were all good, and the hotel met what I expect from a four-star place. For the price, I found it very pleasant.

We stayed only two days, and I wouldn't return. The hotel feels very dated, and the carpeted rooms were horrible. Russian seemed to be the main language; we couldn't get far in English, even at reception, where no one could help us. They also only take cash. The food options were enough, but the quality wasn't great and it was often already cold. Service was listless and miserable apart from a few exceptions. If you don't mind being spoken to in Russian and mainly want a few days on the beach, the drinks may help you get your money's worth from the price.

The sea, shoreline, and pool were beautiful, but the rest left me disappointed. The hotel could have the potential to earn more than three stars, in my opinion, if not for the food and communication. Every day brought the same meals, and when lunch began at 12:30 local time, the food was already cold and tasteless. We also couldn't communicate with the staff in English, only Russian. On arrival, a man at reception tried to get us to move to another hotel without telling our travel agency. A Turkish man at reception was aggressive and tried to force us to accept the offer, which frightened us.

It's a small place, but a nice one, and the food was fresh and tasty. They speak Turkish and Russian, though at least one person also speaks English.
