Alaçatı Beach Resort & SPA

We went in August 2025, and spent much of the holiday without hot water. Management never responded. The old rooms were at least not too bad, but the cleaner took the children's chocolate bars every day. He also kept pushing my guitar behind the TV, leaving scratches on it and the walls. I have no idea why, maybe he was high. The hotel only serves a light breakfast, no other food, and we were hungry all the time. It was the first time we'd felt that way in Turkey. Awful stay.

The room price is a little high, but the staff are friendly and nice. May had really excellent weather, and the hotel is one of the most beautiful in the world. I strongly recommend it.

The location worked well for me, and breakfast had lots of choices, all of them very good. I stayed two nights in May and found the room comfortable, with housekeeping doing a good job. The air conditioner ran smoothly and cleanly, which matters to me. Pool-facing rooms look lovely, but on another visit I'd pick the same side I stayed on this time. The olive trees gave me energy.

The room was dirty, and we even found a cockroach. Staff showed no urgency or apology. We also weren't told that Veranda becomes a nightclub every night, with loud music until 23:00 and sometimes 01:30. Our room shook with the bass. We complained repeatedly and were ignored for five days; after that, someone from management came, barely able to speak English, and still did nothing. Communication was nearly impossible throughout. Nobody on staff, including management, spoke English, so basic requests were difficult. We felt isolated and got inconsistent, often inferior service compared with local guests. Staff seemed to have no idea how to look after guests, just staring or shrugging, and the service was nowhere near what you'd expect from a place claiming five stars. The Cherry On Top bar was listed online as opening at 20:30. We tried three times, and were told it would open “later”, which meant 23:00. That was frustrating and unreliable. I rarely leave reviews, but after traveling a lot, I can say this was the worst hotel stay I've had. The whole holiday was stressful and chaotic, and the resort's five-star marketing feels embarrassing and insulting. If you're an international traveler looking for a relaxing break and decent service, avoid Alacati Beach Resort. It was a disaster.
