Altin Yunus Apart Beach Plus

A little dated.

That polite staff deserve some credit, but the rest of the stay felt like paying five-star prices for retirement-camp life. The place has a 70s feel, and once dinner is over there’s little to do. You can keep buying tea and coffee in the cafeteria, on top of the half-board cost, or head back to your room around 9 pm. Getting there means walking 3 km to the elevator, so you may be too exhausted to enjoy the crazy TV anyway. Even the beach setup feels careless: no wristbands, and if you take a different towel, security asks whether you’re an outsider. Great if you’re trying to escape boredom, I guess.

We had such a lovely holiday at Altın Yunus Apart. Everyone was smiling, hardworking, and focused on helping, especially the hotel manager, housekeeping team, and beach club staff. Thank you all, you were amazing. We’re planning to come back next year, and hope the quality stays just as good.

The rooms are roomy, comfortable, and clean, and being near the beach is a real plus. Families with children should find the place convenient. The pool situation, though, was awful. People could wear shoes right up to the pool, and the same slippers used in the restroom could be worn into it. I saw no medication, showers, or anyone keeping an eye on things, so hygiene felt very poor. There are charges for just about everything, too: lahmacun was 30 TL and tea 8 TL, even though we were on an open buffet plan. Apparently a guest was charged for an apple in the sauna after assuming the fruit on the table was complimentary. That says plenty.
