Vento Mare Çeşme

Before we arrived at the villa section, the service had been excellent. But after checking in and paying, we didn’t see any staff. We stayed four days, and nobody cleaned inside or cleaned the pool. The kitchen was full of ants, even inside the refrigerator. When we reported it, we were told this was a general problem in the area. If so, they should have taken better precautions. We only wanted somewhere to sleep, but the drain smell kept us awake, and the broken bed was never replaced. They blamed every issue on the place being newly opened, yet the bed was broken and the toaster was greasy. There were plenty of shortcomings. With a little more care and attention to guest complaints, the facility could have been much better. Instead, people lose a short vacation they may only get once or twice a year. We’re left with a bad experience and won’t choose it again.

The hotel building looked lovely, but our villa stay was a letdown. The bed gave way when you sat on it, so sleeping was out of the question, and the kitchen had only a few battered pots and pans. Ants seemed to have moved in before us, and asking staff to deal with it got us nowhere. The little pool was freezing and shaded, so we used it once. We were also told there'd be a private beach by the sea, but there was only a pier and no deep shoreline. They said it would be built, so that was a surprise. At least we had a car and could drive to other beaches.

We had a six-person villa for three days, with two bedrooms upstairs and a living room downstairs. The broken upstairs bed was reported, but nothing was done. Ants were all over the refrigerator, dishwasher, and counters, and staff said they couldn't do anything about it. The linens weren't changed, nobody cleaned the rooms or toilets, and even the toaster ovens and oil trays were cleaned only after guests had used them. The villa side of this newly opened place is badly lacking, and the service felt like zero. We were unhappy with the stay and wouldn't recommend it. They need to get their systems in order; this level of carelessness isn't acceptable.

The sea was quiet, clean, and not crowded, with a little beach nearby. It's close to the hotel, though there's a small road in between. The hotel is new, the rooms were comfortable and matched the pictures, and breakfast was filling with plenty to choose from. Staff were friendly and we left satisfied. There were some early-opening snags: flies and bees sometimes got into the pool, and while the rooms were clean, there were fingerprints in the shared areas. I suspect there's only one housekeeper. A bit more attention to those details would suit such a modern, stylish place, and hopefully things will improve.
