Villa Fanti

We stayed in a beautifully decorated deluxe double room with a sea view, and the whole place felt thoughtfully designed to suit old Çeşme. There are stairs both inside and out, so keep that in mind if stairs are an issue. The breakfast was hearty and set us up nicely for exploring. The owner and staff we met were happy, very helpful, and knew the area so well. They made sure we had every comfort, and were glad to help if we needed anything else. It’s close to the sea and good seafood, and a lovely place to relax. We’d give it a 10 if we could, and it’s one of our best finds in Turkey.

The handmade breakfast from the sweet auntie was a real treat. She even let us use the iron for our clothes, and the staff were lovely and helpful. We had a cozy room with a big balcony overlooking the sea, while the rooftop was a great spot to watch the sunset. There are also some very good restaurants just downstairs.

The owner was easy to reach and happy to answer our questions. We also had helpful staff, lovely interiors, and amazing views from this centrally located hotel. Our room was spotless, the A/C worked really well, and the wifi was fast. I’ll definitely stay here next time I’m in Çeşme.

We stayed for three nights, and breakfast on day two was nice, the bed was comfortable, and there were restaurants close by. The rest of the stay was difficult. On arrival on Tuesday 26/7/22, the female owner wasn’t very friendly, and that continued throughout. She asked us to leave our car keys so she could move the car. There was no soap or other toiletries in the bathroom until the third day. The air conditioning wasn’t working, though I’d already closed all the doors and windows hours before being told to do so. The owner said all rooms were set at “23 degrees.” When I called her husband about the A/C, he said, “if you do not like it you can leave.” On Wednesday 27/7/22, the owner came into our room twice, morning and afternoon, to unplug our electrical appliances and chargers. The reception door was always locked when we wanted to leave, and we had to ring the bell to be let in each time. The owners made us feel unwelcome, without a hello or goodbye during the whole stay.
