Villa Vongole

The hotel sits right by the sea, and some rooms have balconies or terraces looking out over the water. The owner and the rest of the family and staff made us feel very welcome. There’s also a cheap, secure parking space right next door. I’d definitely recommend it.

Parking worked out fine, even in peak season, since the owners helped us find a spot. The place is right by the water and boats, with everything close by. Breakfast had enough food and drink to enjoy, and our room was clean when we checked in. My wife and I are picky and check every corner for cleanliness and amenities when we travel, and we found it acceptable. The owners were always around to help us feel comfortable, and the service made the vacation memorable despite the little hiccups you can run into anywhere. We’ll come back next summer.

The staff were so warm and helpful, always ready to lend a hand. I had a really relaxing stay in Cesme, and found the place comfortable and clean. Everything went smoothly, and I’d happily recommend it.

I’d booked a week online, but we left after the first night. About an hour after going to bed, we woke up with aggressive bites from bed bugs. I photographed them on the bed and pillows, killed them, and saw they were full of blood. We packed immediately and waited on the balcony, standing on chairs, until morning so we could move to another hotel. I don’t understand the positive reviews. The furniture is very old, the armchair upholstery was really dirty, and I’d give the cleanliness a 7 at best, being generous. I can’t recommend this place.
