Green Hills Suites

The hotel's public pool was very cold and unheated, and the room I was given was also freezing because there were no heating controls installed. I asked for a remote and it took a long time to arrive. The room was dirty and had plenty of other problems. It was the worst hotel I stayed at on my trip to Yalova. I'd booked a room with a private pool, but they gave me a different room without the amenities. After I commented, the host claimed to have offered a refund. That wasn't true: no refund was offered, and the responsible employee made no effort to sort out the problem.

Suites Green Hills has forest all around it, which made the atmosphere feel peaceful and refreshing. Many of the suites have balconies looking out to the sea, with lovely views and the sound of the waves. The weather is usually mild and pleasant, good for spending time outside or exploring nearby trails. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped, often with kitchenettes and modern bathrooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, and cleanliness was consistently high. Meals at the on-site restaurant include Turkish and international dishes, with options for special diets and a buffet breakfast each morning. You can eat with views of the sea or green hills. There are also a fitness center, sauna, sun terrace, and seasonal outdoor pool. With the greenery, sea breeze, good food, and modern comforts, it's a relaxing place for a family trip or a quiet retreat.

The room was a pleasant surprise since the online listing didn't show that it had a separate bedroom and living room with a kitchen. The kitchen was fully equipped, even with an oven. Everything was clean and comfortable, and there was a balcony. Facilities include a small pool, sauna, and some basic gym equipment. Breakfast was an open buffet with an excellent range of vegetables, fruit, and cooked vegetarian dishes. I'd rate the location three stars because you need a car to get there and to head down to explore or reach the seaside. It is on a nice hill with a view over the area.

My wife and I had a pleasant stay. Breakfast gets a bit crowded at peak times, and I was surprised that the bar served no alcohol at all, not even beer or wine. Their Cappuccino was excellent, though. The staff had trouble communicating in English. When I asked reception to change my air ticket, the very kind man there said they couldn't help because they only had a local phone connection, so I'd have to drive to Istanbul myself :)). All in all, a delightful stay.
