ivy Hotel Spa

We went home with lovely memories of a city we were visiting for the first time, even though the taxi driver had made us uneasy at first by saying we’d picked a hotel away from the sea and center, with better places nearby. The area was peaceful, and getting into town was easy enough. You can hear some traffic from the road beside the hotel, and it isn’t a huge resort, but we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. The team were warm and professional, and a woman at reception helped put me at ease. The room was ready quickly. When we arrived, we were offered a welcome drink, and a man I think was one of the managers asked for a drink without ice for my young daughter. Small touches like that made a difference. The rooms, pool, and restaurant were spotless, and any small problem was dealt with quickly. The staff were mostly young and upbeat. I can’t single anyone out because everyone treated us well. Our room was spacious and had a jacuzzi that my daughter loved, plus a large smart TV, minibar, wardrobe, and the facilities we expected. The view had pleasant greenery, though it wasn’t of the sea or a thick forest. The rooftop pool is modest in size but was plenty for us, and it has a bar and restaurant as well as a separate pool for children. There’s also a spa, Turkish bath, and game room downstairs with foosball, billiards, and other games. The restaurant meals were good, so food wasn’t a concern. Breakfast had lots of choices and was better than some breakfasts we’ve had at five star hotels in Istanbul. There’s a supermarket inside the hotel that we used every day, and a gas station next door for drivers. The price was reasonable, too. We’re checking out tomorrow, but already look forward to coming back with our family.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. I was there in autumn, and the lovely view and fireplace made it a peaceful, cozy stay. A good choice for a quiet getaway.
