After crossing a mountain range to get here, this place felt like an instant oasis, right by the beach. The food was fabulous, and English is spoken well. A special mention for Nuri, who was cheerful and wonderful at everything: waiting tables, advising on tours, arranging things, finding bikes to borrow, and helping make day trips happen.

We only ate at the restaurant and didn’t stay in the bungalows. All three of us had a terrible experience with the food. The pizza was partly uncooked, the calamari barely warm, and the soup arrived cold. We hadn’t ordered gazpacho, but got lentil soup, and the bread beside it looked like someone had bitten it. Both main dishes, lamb shish and chicken shish, were cold. We sent them back twice, but they came out stone cold again. At first the waiter didn’t believe us, and we had to convince him, though he apologized afterward. Based on our experience, I’d skip this place. It ruined an evening of our trip.

I stayed at Emek for a month and loved it. The place is beautiful and quiet, my house was amazing, and the owners are very kind. I’m already looking forward to returning to Emek next year. And thank you to Nuri for the smiles, little chats, and amazingly friendly service. He was always glad to help and made sure I was comfortable.

The restaurant has very good food, nice music, and great service. The accommodation is made up of one- or two-bedroom bungalows with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. This is a wonderful place, and it’s NOT a hostel!
