Kairos Bungalows

Tanju and his family were such warm, welcoming hosts, and Tanju let us borrow bikes and some beach supplies. Their garden is lush and beautifully cared for, a place our girls especially loved. We enjoyed sitting in the shared outdoor area with tea, chatting with our hosts and watching the resident chicken and cats. There’s also a perfectly decent outdoor kitchen, though we didn’t use it, and the fridge came in handy for drinks. The Airbnb sits on the edge of Cirali near the mosque. It’s rustic, clean, peaceful, and has the basics, including floor fans. You can walk about 20 minutes to either the beach or main village, or drive five minutes to the Olympos beach parking lot to avoid the summer heat. Cirali is laid-back and charming, with lots of good restaurants. We especially liked brunch at Cafe 7 and dinner at Arikanda 2. Our family of four began a two-week road trip up Turkey’s Turquoise Coast here, and it was the perfect start. There are more modern places to stay around, but this Airbnb is hard to beat for warmth and charm. It was my husband’s favorite stop, and we hope to return.
