Eski Datca Pansiyon Cafe

We paid nearly $AUS700 for four nights and left after just two. There were problems all over the place: damp, rudeness, being outright lied to, and no cleaning. My partner was also bitten by something, which I presume was bedbugs, and a few days later we spent four hours at Bodrum public hospital emergency. I’ve stayed in some awful places, but this is the worst of my life, number one by a long way.

The garden and the streets around Eski Datca felt like something out of a fairytale, with stone houses, original little shops, friendly people, and a lovely energy everywhere. Breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh local legumes and the specially made “ Bal with Badem”. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the place turned out to be a wonderful boutique hotel. My wife and I arrived late, and Eski Datca Pansiyon was the only place that answered. We hesitated at first because “Pansiyon” made us expect something old and low-end, as pansiyons in Turkiye can seem, but we had nowhere else to go. The manager was incredibly friendly. It was after 10 pm and the restaurant kitchens were closed, but he asked the pide place next door to open and make us delicious pides. We visited off season, so I imagine places are open later during peak season. The manager and staff were always smiling, courteous, and helpful. We loved walking through Eski Datca after breakfast, then seeing how lively the area became in the evening. I strongly urge people to spend time here and stay at least two nights. Visit this hidden gem, and stay at Eski Datca Pansiyon. You’ll thank me!

The view was great, and the employer and employees were kind and always smiling. Service quality was very nice, so I’d recommend it for families. Thanks for everything during our stay. See you soon.
