Grape Datça

We found it peaceful and welcoming, more like staying in someone’s home than a typical hotel. The owner kindly took care of anything guests needed, and the fresh, organic breakfast included local vegetables and other foods. Our room was a good size, with its own bathroom and toilet, and it was always kept clean and hygienic. The small pool was perfectly adequate and consistently clean. There are grapevines around the building, so you can taste the grapes when they’re in season. I’d suggest staying during the season and contacting the owner through the website first.

This is a relaxing place to stay. We were there for three nights at this well-built, seven-room hotel, and the owners were friendly and easy to talk to. The young waiter was especially polite. He hopes to study Gastronomy, and I hope he reaches his goal. There were grapes all around, and we ate plenty of them by the pool. The pool was clean and quite adequate, and our room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was enough, though a few more hot choices would be welcome. A couple of things could be better: the refrigerator cooled slowly, and the shower water kept getting hotter and colder instead of staying at one temperature. We were satisfied with the stay. Take care and have a good holiday.

We were happy enough with our three nights that we could easily have stayed another three, and we still didn’t get enough of Datça. Göksun, the hotel manager, was sincere and accommodating from the reservation stage and understood all our requests. The grounds have grape and olive trees, a small pool, and clean rooms and surroundings. The hotel is in Kızlan, about a 10-minute drive from Datça and Old Datça, and 20-30 minutes from the bays. There’s a sign at the main road for the side road to the hotel, though directional lighting would help. We had trouble spotting the turn at night. Thanks very much for everything.

The rooms were cleaned so thoroughly every day, and breakfast came with homemade pastries, jams, and plenty of organic food. We spent five days at Grape Datça on a girls’ trip, looking for somewhere peaceful, safe, and affordable. After reading lots of reviews, we booked and found they hadn’t been exaggerated. It’s a quiet, comfortable boutique hotel that feels like home. Göksun and her family were warm and welcoming, and Efe made us lovely cold coffees. We felt it was a dependable place to travel alone or with friends. Thanks to them for their hospitality and genuine care. We’ll definitely come back. If you want a calm, clean, safe, high-quality place to stay, I wholeheartedly recommend Grape Datça. ☀️🦋
