The owners, especially Ms. Melis and her family, were friendly and attentive. The setting is lush, well maintained, quiet, and surrounded by nature, making it suitable for families with children. The sea is amazing and not far away. Breakfast was good, with enough variety, and completely natural. We were very satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking peace and quiet.

We paid far too much for this room. During our 8-night stay it was cleaned only twice, and only after I asked. The window could open about 10 cm because the headboard left almost no room. Although we were on the ground floor, the door had no mosquito net, and there were various insects inside the built-in wardrobe. I strongly advise against paying a deposit or anything similar before you’ve seen the room.

Ovabuku is wonderful, and our holiday here was quiet and peaceful. The property is unassuming and about 200 meters from the sea, with its own sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach. We stayed in a 1+1 apartment, which was a good size, but it didn’t have the basic kitchen items we needed, like one water glass and one large fork. We usually stay in apartments and had brought our own things, so we managed, but the kitchenware could be updated. There was no broom, brush, or mop in the apartment either. A shared mop was outside, but it was broken, so I couldn’t use it. The owners would definitely have helped if we’d mentioned the missing items, but nobody asked us as first-time guests if we needed anything, so we didn’t request anything either. I think they could take a bit more care with apartment cleanliness and order.

The food is fantastic, from the taste and presentation to the generous portions. It’s a big, warm family business that hasn’t given up its spirit to capitalism. Although it’s not on the coast, the garden, pool, and hammocks make a lovely place to relax during the day on holiday.
