Cemre Apart

I love living here. It’s usually quiet, though I can hear people when they use the pool because I live close to it. The grounds stay clean, and they maintain the pool area every day. It’s a 10-minute walk to the beach and 1.5 km to downtown.

A good place to stay in Demre. The house is fairly new, built in 2020, and communications work okay.

We couldn’t sleep through the constant noise during our week at Cemre Apart. Shouting woke us around 6:00-7:00 AM, and at 3:00 AM there were chairs, furniture, or something else being pushed and pulled. In the evenings, we could clearly hear music from the people upstairs in our apartment. On the second day, we told Ms. Beril, but the loud music was still playing that evening. We reported it again, with no solution. Before 7:00 AM, the shouting started again and went on for about an hour. We could clearly understand what was being said, and it was impossible to sleep. Around 12:00 AM-1:00 AM, we also heard things being thrown onto the floor and dragged around. Ms. Beril went out and spoke to them after we reported it, but nothing changed. The people involved only apologized and weren’t helpful. We finally left at 1:30 AM. They may not have had a room in their own building, but they didn’t even try to find us another place to stay. If you choose this place, especially apartment number 20, you’ll have to put up with the noise. We were subjected to it morning, evening, and night throughout what should have been a relaxing holiday. Sleep was impossible. The internet was also a problem, with no signal or a very weak one, but next to all that noise, we hardly even thought about it. Every part of our week-long stay was terrible.

The building is new, and we visited in its first summer season, when I think there wasn’t a pool yet. Having air conditioning in every room is nice, but getting there is complicated, as it’s among greenhouses. I didn’t find the house clean. I asked for a vacuum so I could clean myself, but they said they’d bring one and never did. There was hair and crumbs between the sofa cushions. That cost it points with me, especially as the price isn’t cheap, just normal for the season. Would I recommend it? If you only want somewhere to sleep and maybe use the pool now and then, yes. The sea is a 2-3 minute drive or an easy 15-minute walk away.
