Lion Hotel Didim

The bright spot was the woman serving breakfast and tea. She was friendly, always smiling, and made our morning. The rest of our stay was a letdown. We came to Didim at midnight without enough time to arrange somewhere else, and choosing this hotel turned out to be a big mistake. The first room was filthy, with dirty sheets and pillowcase, towels full of holes, and long black hair on the bed. It looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. I went to reception, but nobody was there. A man from reception was spending time with a woman in the bar next door. He saw me waiting at the desk for 10 minutes before I could ask him to inspect the room. Within five minutes he moved us to another one. I wasn't sure about the towels there, but thankfully the sheets were clean. In the morning, another woman at reception asked how our stay was. We told her about the dirty room, and she said nothing. No apology, nothing. The bar music was extremely loud. The receptionist said it would stop at 1 am, but it went on until 3 am. Also, the hotel appears at two locations on Google Maps, and one is wrong. We asked them to remove it because we initially went to the wrong place, but they didn't. We chose this hotel because the others were fully booked during Bayram, and we hadn't planned our trip ahead. That part was our mistake.

We reserved through Booking.com, but on arrival the reception was completely locked and closed. There was a note on the door with a phone number, but no one answered when we called. It looks like a scam.

We spent five days there and had a great time. The place was very clean, the location was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's also a good choice for families and doesn't cost much for what you get. We loved it and hope to come back! ☺️

We left happy as a family with two children. The hotel is right by the marina, with the beach at your doorstep, and we were greeted warmly when we arrived. Breakfast will depend on what you're expecting, but for a boutique hotel it was quite enough. I especially loved Ms. Mehtap's hot bagels and warm egg bread 😊. As for noise, the cafes and bars follow the required closing time. The new manager, Ms. Nergis, seems to have changed things, since from the comments I gather there had been a lot of problems in earlier years. I'd recommend the place. Thanks for everything. I'm a coffee addict, so I also want to say an extra thank you for the lovely coffee treats 🥰.
