We paid for the full stay upfront after booking two rooms for three people, but on arrival there was only one room for two. They moved me to a different room, which was filthy, had no air conditioning or electricity, and no curtains. The so-called bed was a crooked, broken steel frame with a poor excuse for a mattress. At checkout they claimed we still owed money, despite our upfront payment and clear communication. Other guests were treated the same way.

The location, view, and food were the only good parts. We knew this hotel as a good place in 2020, with good food, friendly staff, and fair prices, but our June 2021 stay was the worst. Three months before arriving, we agreed on a room and were twice assured we’d get it. Instead, the hotel was dusty and dirty, the staff had changed, and our room had been given to someone else. The alternatives weren’t suitable: one had two single beds for a married couple, and others were dirty with broken toilets. Eventually they offered a tiny, dirty room with a terrace and a great view. They said to wait two hours in another room while they prepared it. After about 30 minutes they said it was ready, but all they’d done was arrange the bedding. The floor was dusty and dirty, with hair from previous guests, the paint was peeling, the sink and toilet were yellow, the water was yellow, and the water barely flowed. The terrace hadn’t been touched and was disgusting. We complained, but they gave us no discount and didn’t apologize. While they were supposedly setting up the room, I left my wash bag in the temporary room. When I returned, my shower gel was missing, though the rest was there. Nobody apologized for that either. We moved to another hotel, and they even wanted extra money for checking out early. We didn’t pay. After we made a lot of noise and complaints, they started cleaning the hotel. I’d be wary of the people working there. If a cleaner is willing to steal your shower gel, who knows what else they might take. Also, be careful not to get bedbugs there.

Everything in the room felt old. The fridge didn’t cool, and the air conditioning barely worked while making noise all night. The balcony door rattled like crazy, and I heard at least five other people complain about the same things. At the beach, there were no cushions on the loungers, so after an hour lying there your back or bottom hurts. Rooms aren’t cleaned every day, and there aren’t enough tables for breakfast or dinner, so good luck finding one after getting your food.

The staff were generally pleasant and friendly, but I can’t recommend this hotel. It’s old and needs a full refresh. The food was neither bad nor good, and there was a long queue at the buffet. You also have to pay for fresh water, which isn’t served free. The photos don’t show what it’s really like. We booked three nights as a couple with our four-year-old, but they first tried to put us in a room with two single beds. They offered an extra bed for our child, but there wouldn’t have been room to stand or open our luggage. We refused, and they eventually gave us, at the same rate, the room we’d actually agreed on over the phone.
