Ilgaz Motel

The sea was so clear and calm that even though we expected it to be cold, my 5-year-old son and I swam comfortably. We chose this place after reading good reviews and were especially drawn by its beachfront setting. We didn't expect to pitch our tent practically over the water, but Dede Bey found us a lovely spot where we could open the tent door and see the sea. Greetings to Dede Bey! :) Our own refrigerator, clean toilets, and shared power outlets made things easy. There was a restaurant for meals and drinks, and the market by the entrance had what we needed. It wasn't crowded, and the area was organized, so it felt comfortable for a family. We stayed during Eid al-Adha. Unless we head to the Mediterranean, we'll come back here for our next camping trip.

What made our stay at Ilgaz special was having the sea in view wherever we turned. At many campsites, neither the tent area nor the dining spot faces the water, so we really appreciated being beside the sea the whole time. This is the campsite we've visited most often, and easily the most comfortable. We finally stayed in their tents this time: roomy, with high ceilings and beds for four. Tables, chairs, and umbrellas were all provided, and having a cabin and shower right by the water was so practical. Thank you, Grandpa, and thank you, Mr. Mehmet.

We've been coming here every summer for the last 6 years. It has a safe, family feel, and you get the atmosphere as soon as you arrive. We came at the end of August and spent 6 peaceful nights 🧡. If you're used to a crowded city and a hectic pace, the quiet here can feel therapeutic. We'll definitely come back 💐.

It's 1250 TL for a tent for two, so don't be taken in by the reviews. We asked about it, but got no real information or conversation, just the price. The hotel next door costs less, breakfast included. How is this supposed to be a campsite? This felt like dealing with a seller, not a business owner, and the attitude was disrespectful.
