Miro Mara Boutique Hotel & Lounge Bar

The garden is a nice place to sit with alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, and the hotel is right by the lake, with lovely walks nearby, especially at night. It's clean, the staff are very nice, and the price is good. The rooms really are very small, though, and the bathroom sits inside the room behind a glass panel or wall. If you're going around Van and just need somewhere to sleep for a few nights, it does the job :)

I picked Miro Mara Boutique Hotel because it welcomes pets. Its lakeside setting is pleasant, with beautiful views and a peaceful garden behind it, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The second-floor bar and restaurant draws a nightlife crowd; there's an above-average range of alcoholic drinks, and I thought the music was lively and tasteful. But the bar was extremely smoky. Our mattress was quite uncomfortable, the bathroom was very small, and nobody tried to clean our room during our five-night stay. The property has attractive features, and could suit someone who likes nightlife where they're staying.

It was great having a bar with fantastic views over Lake Van, good music, and helpful staff. The breakfast was great, and we had an absolutely superb dinner, all at a very reasonable price. Our room was bright and airy, and I really liked that the hotel was dog friendly, which is rare in Turkey. Thanks for a great stay!

The host and staff were exemplary, and the host spoke three languages and was happy to help arrange transportation and excursions. They provided coffee and tea, and our clean, fresh room was cool and comfortable. The local breakfast, kahvaltı, lived up to Van's reputation for great flavors. With blooming flowers, a lush garden, and stunning blue water, visiting during the warm part of the year was such a joy. I highly recommend this place; staying here was a real treat.
