Charly's Pension

I only came for dinner in the “restaurant” area. It felt more like a homestay with a dining room than a restaurant, though the place was cosy. I liked the information about the area displayed in the room. The food was simple and okay.

The room we shared was pretty small, with the beds close together and not much privacy. Still, the owner, who also manages Fulya's and another pension, was adorable and really helpful. Breakfast was a tasty, plentiful buffet with a wonderful lake view, and dinner was good and cheap. They can also point you toward lots of activities in the region.

Ibrahim really knows the area and is passionate about it, especially the walks and other things to do. He speaks great English, and the welcome from everyone was lovely. The views are great too. It's simple accommodation, so don't expect three-star luxury, especially as prices in Egirdir were higher than elsewhere we'd been. For more luxury, stay next door at his other place. Breakfast is served at Fulya Pension next door, and you can have supper here overlooking the lake.

The food had loads of variety, was really tasty, and was well priced if it wasn't included with your room. The dinner hall looks out over the lake and mountains, and there's an outdoor terrace as well. They have games, a TV, and a music system, plus free tea, which was perfect for me as an Englishman. The staff were super friendly. Highly recommend.
