Agrigento Resort Hotel

My wife remembers this as once being the best hotel in Erdek, which makes its current state a real shame. It could be a gem with some effort. The location, beach, and pools are great, and we used the pools every couple of days. We have family in erdek, so we spent most of our time with them and mainly used the hotel to sleep. I enjoyed the stay, but without the family house I wouldn’t have wanted to stay in Agrigento. The safety issue was the worst part: every fire exit was blocked by stored child beds. That’s completely unacceptable and says a lot about management’s lack of care. The rooms also weren’t cleaned to an acceptable standard. Cleaners had plenty of time, but I kept seeing them sitting and chatting in the lift area instead of working. Management needs to set standards and enforce them. I wouldn’t eat here. The food was mass-produced, poor quality, and not very clean, worse than a work canteen anywhere I’ve worked. Upkeep was lacking too. The internet was unreliable, and the air conditioning caused problems.

Our booking was canceled during the final 24 hours because they said they couldn’t collect payment through booking. Paying on-site wasn’t allowed, and there hadn’t been any information saying that would be an issue.

Nice!

An old resort hotel.
