Cizenel Hotel

The seaside location and all the greenery are lovely, but I couldn't make sense of how they were running things. We had travelled a long way, and at 5:30 pm they told us the rooms still weren't ready, even though pickup was meant to be at 2. When we asked how long it would take, they just said there was a problem. A simple apology would have helped us understand. Then, when we got back late at night, the front door was locked. We had to climb over it, and some of my friends hurt their feet.

We picked Çizenel Hotel on the spur of the moment from several options when we needed a place for one night. Even in that short time, it felt like the right choice, and somewhere we'd be happy to stay longer on a future trip. The rooms are simple and spacious, the garden is large and lush, and there's a beach. Prices are reasonable, so it could be our choice for future visits. I hope we get the same good experience next time, and especially want to thank Ms. Gül for making us feel welcome, like guests in her own home.

I found this place on Google last year while looking for Erdek holiday spots. The prices were reasonable, so I went without expecting much. The garden was the first thing I loved, it felt like paradise, and being right by the sea is the best part. I returned for a few days this year with two friends. The new owner, Mr. Önder, and his elegant wife, Ms. Burcu, had already added some lovely little touches in just a month. They were busy getting ready for the season, and their plans for next year sound excellent. There'll be a #Rubato concert in the beautiful garden on July 3rd. The restaurant is very good too. The mezes, fish, and dinners at lantern lit tables on the sand feel really enjoyable and romantic :) #Çizenel Hotel is one of the few places bringing quality to #Erdek, which hasn't developed in 20 years. Prices are fair, and the service and attention are excellent. It's a 3 hour trip from Istanbul, so it's ideal for quick getaways. We'll be touring around with friends a lot until the end of the season.

The food alone made us feel at home, and the head chef is so lovely that everyone seems to leave having put on weight :) What really made this place special, though, was how the staff kept checking in and treating us like family. The rooms were clean, the setting was beautiful, and the location was great. Everyone was warm and attentive. Thank you so much to Ms. Tuna, Mr. Zafer, Ms. Gül, Mr. Ferhat Thomas, Mr. Emrah, the head chef, and all the other staff whose names I didn't catch. We hope to see you again soon, and I'd recommend experiencing this welcoming place.
