Kiraz Beach Hotel

The beach and sea could use more attention, but the meals were a highlight. Breakfast had a huge variety and was delicious, especially the spicy pastry made by the Lebanese chef. Dinner was good too. Mr. Mehmet and Mr. Berkay were cooperative and helped us get a good room, resolve problems, and make our stay comfortable.

It’s a beautiful place, but after two days of poor service, we don’t want to come back. On the first visit, no one came to take our order for 20 minutes until I called them over, and then we waited another 20 to 30 minutes for a salad. The next day, we were seated at a dirty table and ignored again until I drew attention to us. Tea and a cocktail took an hour. Two waiters asked us three times what we’d ordered, and when we were about to leave, the drinks were placed on a filthy table covered with empty glasses, used napkins, plates, and ketchup. People at the next table arrived after us but were served sooner. No one even gave us a simple apology for the delay. Please improve the service, maybe with some basic training in how to communicate. It felt like we were asking for a favor.

We came to Kiraz beach with my husband for a second time, but sadly I think it may be our last. The bad service and technical issues might be because the season has just started, and I hope they improve soon. Otherwise, the hotel could get a poor reputation. I’ve worked for a long time in international hotel tourism, so I’d suggest offering guests some kind of complimentary gesture when service problems or other issues leave them unhappy. It could help prevent negative feedback.

The bathroom was spacious and had plenty of hot water, but it stayed damp all the time, as if the ventilation wasn’t adequate. We were there for three nights in mid-March, during the off-season. The place looked very nice and seemed recently renovated or newly built. Breakfast was awesome. It was rainy and chilly, so we didn’t use the beach and can’t comment on access. They welcomed our poodles, which we really appreciated. Taner of Kirtal otel called kiraz for us while we were searching for somewhere open in the off-season that would accept our dogs. We’d stay again.
