Calis Beach Apartments

A nice place with good people.

Amazing.

We paid for a stay in beautiful Fethiye and came away disappointed. The cafes within walking distance were filthy, and I felt uneasy about even leaving the room. The photos keep showing a large, lovely pool with access to the sea, but that impression is misleading. There’s no direct way to the sea from the pool; you have to walk around. The nearby campsites also had loud, unpleasant groups.

The pool is pleasant, though on the small side, and there are a few little shops nearby. You can walk to the beach, but the sea there is rough, deep, and rocky, and it isn’t especially close. At the house, cockroaches kept me up all night, so I ended up buying something at the market to kill them. There’s a barbecue, but most of its equipment is old. Instead of warning people not to use the wood from the main barbecue, the owner put up a rude sign the next day. That wasn’t nice.
