Defne Bungalow

The food at Defne Pansiyon was excellent and very fairly priced. We had dinner there twice with family staying nearby and breakfast on several other days. It’s a peaceful, lovely place in Calis, with beautiful, well-kept gardens, a good-sized pool, and plenty of loungers and seats. Hamit and his family were friendly and helpful, and made it feel like home. We stayed in Dalaman lodge, a clean and tidy one-bedroom place with a comfortable bed, extra pillows and blankets, working air con, fridge, washing machine, kettle and toaster. There was also a nice terrace with a table and chairs. Our flight landed very late, and Hamit kindly got us bread, milk, water and snacks for when we arrived. The nearest beach is an easy walk, and there’s a taxi button at Defne if you want to go into Calis. That ride cost 200-250 lira. We’d choose Defne first if we return to the area. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

The family running this place give it a cozy feel, and the pool was almost like having a private one. It’s a very peaceful spot for a restful break. The host and their family made us feel so welcome and cared for, almost like family. Our room was comfortable, and the strong AC really helped in the hot weather. We loved trying all sorts of delicious Turkish dishes at the on-site restaurant. There’s a small shop just a few minutes away for essentials, and the beach is about a ten-minute walk. The atmosphere was peaceful, with plenty of chairs by the pool and cool water to dip into when it was hot. We had a lovely stay in Fethiye and would absolutely recommend this place. The family owners were so helpful, polite and friendly, and went the extra mile. The mother’s home-cooked food was beautiful, and the pool was clean and lovely. The beach is a ten-minute walk away, with a shop just two minutes away. There’s a Dolmus to Fethiye every half hour, and WiFi in the restaurant. We loved seeing turtles in the river by the restaurant, plus fish, kingfishers and large fish. Calis beach has plenty of restaurants and shops, a short bike ride or about £3.00 by taxi. Defne Pension was a lovely holiday hideaway, and we’ll be back next year. Karen and Mickey, United Kingdom.
