Dikmen Apart

The pool was clean and looked after, and apart from the issues with the rooms, it was nice. We knew the building was old, but the sinks and showers were extremely dated. There were stains on the curtains and walls, the blinds were far from white, the pots and pans were very old, and the kitchen cupboards were really dirty. I don’t think it’s especially suited to young people. Families may like it, though if you’re very picky, I’d choose somewhere else. 😊

It’s about a 15-minute walk to Çalış beach, though the area feels a bit dark after nightfall. The pool was kept very well, with its pH checked every day. Prices were quite good compared with other places nearby. The room wardrobes and bathrooms could use some maintenance.

The owners were lovely and even let us enjoy as many figs and grapes from their garden as we wanted. The location was great, close to Çalış beach, and our room was clean, though old, much like the apartment itself, which felt straight out of the 90s. It has a friendly atmosphere and we were satisfied. If you keep your expectations modest, you’ll be happy here.

I’ve been coming here for three years, so I wanted to give a full picture. It’s a family-run apartment building in a village-like neighborhood, with a pool, and it can be fine if you don’t expect too much. The cleaning is pretty poor, though. They also rent rooms to groups of three or four single men, which doesn’t feel good for families. That would be the reason I might not return. In my personal opinion, owner Mr. Adnan is a good person. Have a good holiday.
