Hotel Lidya

Everything felt filthy, including the buffet area, from the floor and tables to the plates. The lady serving us was very nice, but my plate was so dusty that the cheese I put on it had dust on it too. In my sister’s room, one of the beds had clearly been slept in, and the receptionist just told her to use another bed. The towels in the room my husband and I took had been used as well. We came hoping to try the sauna and massage, but those rooms looked unhygienic, and I didn’t want to risk catching anything. The price was competitive, but the dirt was a nightmare.

The room was clean and had a lovely balcony view, and the hotel is very close to restaurants and supermarkets. Furkan was especially helpful with information and anything we needed. The whole staff were polite, friendly, and always available. I think it’s a family business, and the family members were just as helpful. A pleasant stay.

Breakfast was simple but enough. The room was okay, though it could use some basic maintenance to improve the standard. The harbour is about a 15-minute walk away, and parking on the street outside was no problem.

We didn’t even try the breakfast, though I heard it was disappointing too. The staff didn’t speak English, and the spa floor seemed just as unprofessional: the towels were dirty, and the replacements we requested were dirty as well. They were apparently bank giveaway towels. In the single-person room there were three beds, and at check-in we found that two had been used without being cleaned. It was the last room, and they just told us to use the other bed. The room for two wasn’t clean either. The curtain wouldn’t close, the design was bad, the toilet seat was broken, and the sink hadn’t been repaired. Not recommended at all. They should do something else instead of running a hotel.
