Hotel Mutlu

The Turkish breakfast is what they serve, and I love it. You can pay extra for a full English if that’s more your thing. We had a sea view room, which was worth the upgrade for those sunsets. Brothers bar downstairs makes the best cocktails, the bar staff are 👌 and the music’s pretty good too. I even added a few songs to the playlist! We only got home yesterday and are already planning another stay.

We spent the last two weeks of August in a sea view room. The sunsets were amazing from the seafront. Our room was clean, though a little tired, and was tidied every day with fresh towels. The linen was changed every other day. Everyone was pleasant, from management to the cleaning staff. The bar and restaurant are now run by the "Brother's" and their team were friendly and polite. The pool area was tidy and had plenty of sunbeds.

I really regret choosing this hotel. The beachfront location is okay, but the rooms are old and the toilets very outdated. They don’t have water boilers, and when I asked staff for one, they said they couldn’t provide it. We asked for a mini fridge, which for some reason is kept outside the rooms, and thankfully they gave us one. The Wi-Fi never worked, so I had to buy data. The electricity kept cutting out, about 15 times, which was awful in the heat when you need the AC. I won’t come back.

The setting is hard to beat. I never tired of watching the sunset each evening, and other bars and restaurants are just a 5 to 10 minute walk away. The rooms were clean, had plenty of wardrobe space, and the showers were really powerful. The bar and restaurant staff worked so hard to keep everyone happy and everything clean and tidy. They’re charming and friendly, and will make any drink, even if they’ve never heard of it before! There’s also a lovely coffee shop, the only one we saw on Calis beach, with oat and almond milk. We’ve just got back from a fantastic holiday at Hotel Mutlu and hope to return.
