Otel Eroglu

The room was very small and dirty, and the furniture was very old. It was also noisy because the hotel is near a main road. The wooden windows were old, so you could hear everything outside. The woman at reception doesn't speak English. I wouldn't recommend it.

We were three people, and the room had one double bed and one single. Even though we arrived late at night, the desk staff were really kind and spoke English well, which was a big positive. The room was very clean, the bathroom was large, and the air conditioner was fantastic. The location was convenient, close to both the center and the market. During high season we gave up trying to find a rental car after searching desperately all day. Nihat from the hotel found one for us in minutes, and we really appreciate the favor. We'll definitely come back, because a good place is defined by its people.

The location was a real plus, just a short walk from the Otogar, or local bus station. The staff were friendly and tried to sort out the water and AC problems, although the AC never really worked. It was a tired hotel with basic rooms. The AC was old, and we had trouble getting hot water from the taps. Breakfast was fairly simple too.

The main draw for me was convenience, and Eroglu was a good fit. It's centrally located in Fethiye, about 1 km from the bus stand and 1 km from the city center. Minibuses, the main way to get around Fethiye, stop right in front, and there's an amazing restaurant next door. The food at the hotel is decent, though it's the same every day. There are no elevators, so you have to take the stairs. They don't provide bottled water or toiletries, but you can buy water at the nearby supermarket. Room cleaning was only available on request. Our room was clean, with a nice mountain view. The washroom was tiny but manageable for two of us, though it might be difficult with kids.
