Şirin Baba Otel

DISAPPOINTMENT. NOTHING ELSE. We'd paid in advance when booking in June, but on arrival were put in what they called a double room: a single room with a double bed squeezed in and no balcony. They told us at checkout that it was the only room without a balcony, but this wasn't the room we'd booked. Why did it cost the same as a room with a balcony? Hotels normally price rooms differently for sea or mountain views, and for having a balcony or not. The mini-bar had just two 500ml bottles of water when we arrived. For the next five days, they gave us no drinks at all, not even water. When we brought water in from outside, we were scolded like children and asked why we were bringing our own water, tea, coffee and other drinks. There was no liquid hand soap, either. We asked, but it wasn't refilled during our five days there. Our room was cleaned only once, and only after the friend travelling with us asked for it. Sadly, Şirin Baba Hotel wasn't charming at all, and we didn't get the hotel we thought we'd booked.

At the end of August, I stayed at this pleasant family-run hotel. Makbule and Recai welcomed us so warmly and made us feel right at home, with their smiling faces and personal attention. I really enjoyed the mixed pizza at the à la carte restaurant and suggest giving it a try. I was very happy with the stay and hope to return next year.

The breakfast had plenty of high quality choices, and the meals were tasty. The pizza is especially worth trying. The pool was a good size, and the prices were reasonable. Our rooms were tidy and extremely clean, and Ms. Makbule and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. We felt comfortable, and the service was better than we expected.

At Şirinbaba's House, we felt right at home. Mr. Recai and Ms. Makbule were such friendly, welcoming hosts. The breakfast spread was generous and delicious, and both the pizza and pasta were excellent. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Thanks so much for everything, we hope to see you again! 🙏😊🫶
