Villa Daffodil - Special Class

The room was tiny, and so was the narrow bed. We also found ants wandering around, though we didn’t have any food left out. The hotel is on the outskirts of the marina, about a 15-minute walk away, and the booking photos look more attractive than the place does in real life. Breakfast was alright, just a standard hotel breakfast in Turkey. The WiFi was awful. We kept dropping off every five minutes, and the connection was poor in general. They told us that more connected guests meant more traffic. If that’s true, they should invest in more speed to make the stay better. Bad internet in 2023 is a real hassle.

The only thing I liked about this hotel was the view. After two days, I can say the place is badly out of date and needs renovation, even though the receptionists were kind. The furniture is old, the sheets and mattresses are dirty, and the bathroom door doesn’t close properly. There’s humidity in the walls and ceiling on the ground floor. The pool water had so much chlorine that my eyes burned for the rest of the day, and it even ruined my new favorite T-shirt. Breakfast was below normal.

We only stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The pool area and room were great, and breakfast was good. The bathroom was really small, but manageable.

The staff were kind and worked well with us, though there weren't enough of them. The rooms, on the other hand, felt very old and were in really bad shape. We booked seven months ahead at a lower price than the hotel charges now, so the early booking deal feels like nonsense ;)
